A recent poll conducted by CBS News of nearly 1,000 parents with children in their household under 18 found that many parents have been affected by the recession, and their children as a result.

Many parents who were interviewed for the poll said they were having a harder time paying for life’s necessities, and about one in ten said they had delayed taking their child to the doctor or dentist because of financial concerns.
