Actress Demi Moore, who recently split from her husband Ashton Kutcher after rumors of infidelity surfaced, was hospitalized on Tuesday night. A spokeswoman for Demi Moore said the mom of three was being treated for exhaustion.

“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” her rep said in a statement. “She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”

Demi Moore, 49, was reportedly experiencing “seizure-like” symptoms when she was rushed to the hospital, according to TMZ.com. TMZ reports that the actress was suffering seizures from a nitrous-oxide inhalant, also known as a “whip-it.”

“I can confirm that we received an emergency call at 10:49 p.m. for an unknown illness related to that address,” said L.A. City Fire Dept. spokesman Matt Spence. “We transported at least one patient to a local hospital.”

Demi Moore has since dropped out of a Linda Lovelace biopic she was set to star as Gloria Steinem in. Demi Moore’s husband of 6 years, Ashton Kutcher (who was step-father to her daughters with Bruce Willis, Rumer, 23, Scout, 21, and Tallulah, 18) is currently in Brazil shooting a fashion campaign. Sources close to both Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, 33, have said that her “prescription drug use” contributed to marital problems.

“It was a sticking point for Ashton,” a source told People. “He wanted her to take care of herself and get a hold of things, and she wouldn’t.”
