Nick Cannon is currently in a Los Angeles hospital being treated for kidney failure, he and wife Mariah Carey have reported from Twitter.
Nick Cannon, 31, was transferred from a Colorado hospital yesterday, where the America’s Got Talent star tweeted about his condition.
“Currently being [transferred] to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern,” he wrote. “You know me ... I will be a’ight.”
Nick Cannon and wife Mariah Carey, 41, were in Aspen for the holidays along with their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who were born in April.
Mariah Carey, who has been using Twitter to update fans about the situation, said Nick Cannon is in a lot of pain but is in good spirits and posted the picture of them in the hospital bed, above.
“This is us in the hospital — role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are,” she wrote on Wednesday, including a photo of herself visiting him in the hospital. “We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.”
According to Health.com, Acute Kidney Failure can be caused by several things, including diabetes, high blood pressure, an enlarged prostate gland, an injury, or a serious infection.
